2026 JH FOOTBALL TENTATIVE PRACTICE & GAME SCHEDULE
I am super excited for the opportunity to coach your son in the most challenging character building sport. This year we will be COOPing with Pattonsburg and North Daviess for 8-man football. All practices will be at Pattonsburg. The bus will leave from Winston to transport players to practices and games. JH Practices will begin on Monday, August 17th @ 4:00. Practices will end approximately 6:00, depending on the HS practice schedule. Students can text or call when we leave Pattonsburg. We will do our best to stay consistent with practice times, so parents/guardians know when to be at Winston school to pick up their athletes. Please have rides available and plans in place for pickup. All athletes must have a current physical and proof of insurance on file with the school in order to participate. Athletes will need to participate in 14 conditioning practices before they are eligible to play in a game. (MSHSAA rule) Our first contest is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th. There are 15 scheduled practices before the 1st game (with the possibility of 1 on Labor Day, which I would like to avoid). Football is a great activity that teaches a multitude of life skills and provides a foundation for growth and development.
